Безвременно ушел из жизни доктор Вячеслав Петрович Русанов в пятницу 9-ого апреля 2010 года.
Я уже с 1994-ого года нахожусь на Маврикий, но память о Славе Русанове еще свежая в моей голове. Я только два месяца назад встретил Славу в Москве во время встречи на медицинском факультете Российского Университета дружбы народов в честь празднования 50-летия нашего Альма Матера. Не верится, что человека уже нету среди нас. Потеря огромная для нас всех.
Слава был, прежде всего, прекрасным человеком, соблюдающим требования времени и общества и нравственные принципы жизни.
Он был большим патриотом России и Советского Союза и всё сделал, что зависит от него, чтобы помочь своей стране в общественных делах, а также и развить медицинские науки, в частности хирургию, особенно абдоминальную хирургию - хирургию печени и желчевыводящих путей, а также и хирургию мочевого пузыря и малого таза при онкологических заболеваниях.
Слава был и прекрасным администратором клиники, отсюда и ранее занимаемый им пост заместитель главного врача большого госпиталя под Российской Академией медицинских наук в городе Тройцке, находящийся в 20 минут езды автобусом от станции метро "Беляево" в Москве.
Слава был моим близким другом и одноклассником, с кем мы учились в одной группе в течение шести лет на медицинском факультете Российского Университета дружбы народов в Москве, освоивая специальность "Лечебное Дело". Стали общими врачами в 1986-ом году.
Слава далее прошел клиническую ординатуру по общей хирургии на кафедре факультетской хирургии под эгидой одного из наших учителей по хирургии, знаменитого профессора Лапкина. Далее он защитил кандидатскую диссертацию по хирургии, но самое главное, это то, что он был врожденным хирургом, и трудясь много он естественно стал блестящим хирургом - хирургом с большой буквы.
Его любили его близкие - родные и друзья, профессора, академики и пациенты. Все, которые узнали Славу, не могли не увидеть прекрасного человека, которым он был и радовались знакомству с ним.
Он много сделал для своих пациентов. Наверное, огромный хирургический труд и его погубил. Человек не узнал отдыха, трудясь во всё за восстановление здоровья своих больных.
Пускай то, что случилось ему послужит нам уроком, чтобы нас напомнить, что частейнко надо нам отдохнуть и дышать для себя и помнить, что нам врачам, необходимо быть здоровым, чтобы мы впоследующем смогли помочь другим, а также и жить для своих семьей и близких людей, в конце концов немножко надо жить и для себя.
Приношу свои самые глубокие чувства соболезнования замечательной жене Славы Кате (Екатерина) Русанове, с кем мы учились в одном потоке, и их прекрасным детям, а также и всем их родственникам. Дай Бог Вам всем большую силу воли, чтобы пережить это очень грустное событие и громадную потерю. Где бы мы, его друзья, не были, будь-то это в России, Канаде, США, Англии, Франции, Швецарии, на Маврикий и в других странах мира, присоединяемся к Вам и молимся вместе с Вами за упокой его души.
Пусть Слава продолжает жить в наших сердцах и в тех научных медицинских работах, которые он начал и будут продолжены другими крупными врачами и хирургами в будущем.

Dr Vyacheslav Petrovitch Rusanov (Slava) passed away all of a sudden on Friday 9th April 2010.
I am back in Mauritius from Russia since 1994 but remembrances of my friend Slava are still very fresh in my head. Moreover, I met Slava only two months back in Moscow during the festival organized for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of our Alma Mater - the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow. I can't believe that he is no more amongst us. It's a tremendous loss for all of us.
Slava was, first of all, a wonderful person, observing the demands of time and society as well as the moral principles of life.
He was a great patriot of Russia and the ex-Soviet Union and did all that depended on him to help his country in social matters as well as bring his own contributions in the development of medical sciences, in particular, surgery, especially abdominal surgery - surgery of the liver and biliary system, and surgery of the urinary bladder and pelvis for oncological diseases.
Slava was a gifted health care organizer and, being the chief surgeon of the medical institution where he worked, he parallelly occupied the post of the chief doctor administrator of the big hospital of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in the city of Troitsk, which is found at a distance of 20 minutes travel by bus from the subway station "Belyayevo" in Moscow.
Slava was my close friend and classmate with whom I studied in the same group during six good years at the Medical Faculty of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow. Slava and I graduated in General Medicine (M.D.) in 1986.
After that, Slava passed through Clinical Ordinatura for specialization in General Surgery in the Department of Faculty Surgery under the guidance of one of our renowned teachers of surgery, the famous Professor Lapkin. Slava was further awarded his well-earned scientific degree of Ph.D. - Doctor of Philosophy - in Surgery. However, the most important was that Slava was a born surgeon and through hard work he became a very brilliant and talented surgeon.
Slava was loved by one and all - by his close relatives and friends, professors, academicians and patients as well. All those who came to know Slava could not avoid noticing this wonderful person who he was and with whom people liked to get acquainted.
He has done a lot for his patients. Most probably, this huge surgical work has turned out to be fatal for him. He did not know what is rest, always working for restoring the health of his patients and helping them in all ways possible.
Let whatever happened to him serve us a lesson to remind us that we have to take some rest frequently and breathe a bit for ourselves and remember that we, doctors, need to be healthy in order to be able to help others as well as live for our families and close people, and finally we need to live a bit for ourselves.
I am expressing my deepest feelings of condolences to Slava's wonderful wife Katya (Ekaterina) Rusanova with whom we studied in the same batch and to their wonderful children as well as to all their relatives. May God give you all a great will power in order to go through this very sad event and uncountable loss. Wherever we, Slava's friends, are now, be it in Russia, Canada, USA, England, France, Switzerland, Mauritius or any other country of the world, we unite with you and pray together with you for that Slava's soul rest in peace.
May he continue to live in our hearts and in those scientific medical works which he started and will be continued by other great doctors and surgeons to come.
May we always cherish an enlightened memory for our dear Slava...
